SPIRO

Spiro is a new speech valve with humidifier and heat exchanger that combines several functions in one breathing aid.

Spiro is versatile, although it is meant to be used as a speech valve with filter, humidifier and heat exchanger, not all these facilities need necessarily be used at any one time. Spiro has provision for the connection of an oxygen supply as well as being light in weight and comfortable to wear.

Spiro incorporates a renewable filter; the filter housing is not discarded with the filter significantly reducing the cost of filters.

SPIRO Basic Set 760

The SPIRO basic set is a convenient packaging, covering most patient needs, for both day and night time use.

The transparent plastic box contains two filter housings – one clear as glass (for the day) and one white without the speech membrane (for night and rest), further a heat shield, so called “nose”, and a pair of tweezers for exchanging the filter.

The basic set also contains an adapter for connection to a silvercannula. The SPIRO system's different component parts can also be purchased separately.

SPIRO Speech valve 710

The Speaking valve has a Silicon membrane in the cap and works very silent and precise, providing good speech and ease when coughing with a minimum of breathing resistance.

The valve is very light and simple to handle – therefore pleasant for the user. The exchangeable filter cleans the inhaled air and blocks secretions reaching the membrane. The speaking valve is easy to open and the unique filter is easy to exchange. The valve housing has a connection for oxygen supply with a capacity of 6 litres per minute. The supply behind the membrane gives 100% user capacity and the filter divides the oxygen well.

Humidifier 702

The humidifier collects warmth and humidity from the exhaled air and uses it for pre warming and moisturizing if the inhaled air giving a minimum of breathing resistance. The exchangeable filter cleans the inhaled air.

The valve is easy to open and the filter is easy to exchange. This makes SPIRO HME – valve more economical. The valve housing has a connection for oxygen supply with a capacity of up to 6 litres per minute.
